On Sunday, June 5, 2016, the graduating batch from the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL), planted a tree besides their school, from where they are the first batch to graduate. The LUMS Law Batch of 2016, with their BA-LL.B (Honours) degrees and their heads held high in anticipation of the challenges to come, wished to thank the institution and its people - from the teachers to the administration and the support staff and to give something back to the campus. It was befitting, in their opinion, to gift something that has no expiry date and is, rather, a gift that keeps on giving.
In the presence of Prof. Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi, Vice Chancellor, LUMS and Dr. Ali Qazilbash, Chair of the Law Department, SAHSOL and members of the faculty, the Law Class of 2016 planted the tree besides the SAHSOL building. The participants also prayed for their future success and the strength to take on the challenges that lie ahead. The plantation was followed by refreshments.
