KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co has joined hands with LUMS to extend support to the LUMS National Outreach Programme (NOP) Scholars. Present at the MOU signing ceremony, were Prof. Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi, the Vice Chancellor of LUMS and Mr. Fariduddin Ahmed from KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co. Mr. Ahmed appreciated the efforts that LUMS has put in to provide world class education to Pakistani students and lauded the confidence that has been ingrained in them. Mr. Ahmed also expressed his interest in hiring LUMS graduates in his firm.
Dr. Naqvi appreciated KPMG for their generous donation to the NOP and hoped that they will continue to support LUMS in future as well. He also added that the whole LUMS community is striving hard to take this institution further and will make it one of the best institutions in Asia.
The NOP was launched in 2001 to extend the benefits of world class education to talented but underprivileged students from all over Pakistan. The students who qualify as NOP scholars are given full financial assistance covering tuition, books, travel and living expenses. These NOP scholars have, over the years, brought countless laurels to LUMS.
