Habib Bank Limited (HBL) conducted its recruitment drive for The League, HBL Management Trainee Programme at Lahore University of Management Science on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Mr. Mujtaba Naqvi (Regional Chief, Lahore) started the session by interacting with students and asked them what they know about HBL. He has been with HBL for last ten years. He then gave a brief introduction of HBL by telling the audience that it’s one of the oldest banks in Pakistan, established in 1947. It has a global presence in over 25 countries spanning across four continents.
Ms. Katherina Irani (Senior Manager Talent and Leadership Development) then took the stage and told about the hiring procedures. She said that HBL hire 50 management trainees every year and they are looking for people who have skills like passion to learn, creativity and innovative etc. HBL provides rich exposure to young employees by providing them mentorship from industry experts. League development is one of the rigorous training plan and is of 18 months duration, equipping the students with adequate skills and exposure to enter the financial industry. Top 3 management trainees would be given an opportunity to get the international exposure just after training.
Ms. Zara Irfan (Management Trainee & LUMS Alumni) then took the stage and told the audience how HBL is the best place to work in. She explained how employees are given autonomy and freedom to join any department of preference. In the end a short video was played describing the League MT Programme followed by the Questions & Answer session and a Mannequin Challenge inside the auditorium.
