GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) conducted its recruitment drive at Lahore University of Management Sciences April 5, 2017. Mr. Ahmad Ali Zia, HR Cluster Head, Pakistan & Iran started the session by sharing the story of his professional journey from 1990 till 2017. He said that he joined GSK about 8 months ago and these 8 months in GSK have taught him more than last 27 years. He stated that the mission of GSK is to help people do more, feel better, live longer and provide best quality products for patients. GSK is operating in more than 150 countries along with a network of 84 manufacturing sites in 36 countries. Pakistan has the second biggest manufacturing site in the world. He further talked about awards and recognitions that GSK has received such as it was placed in the top category on Fortune “Change the World” list. GSK is the most access oriented company in the world for the fifth consecutive time. He concluded his speech by describing four core values of GSK: Be patient focus, Act with integrity, Demonstrate respect for people and Operate with transparency.
Ms. Momina Durrani, Recruitment Lead GSK Pakistan then took the stage and explained about “Future Leadership Programme” (FLP). She told the audience that this well-established programme is designed to help young talents to become future leaders. FLP programme has three separate streams: Commercial Leader Programme, Consumer HealthCare Programme and GMS (Manufacturing) Future Leader Programme. She further told that they are seeking candidates who are organised, resilient, team oriented, open to change and flexible.
In the end, she told about the eligibility criteria and application process that includes:
