The Fatima Group Recruitment Drive 2020 was held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at LUMS to conduct a recruitment drive for the Group’s Empower to Lead (E2L) Programme.
Fatima Group was established in 1936 and over a period of 70 years it has become the most progressive business conglomerate in Pakistan with a strong portfolio of products and services.
Mr. Sulman Malik, Head of Rewards started the session by telling the audience about his work experience and his role at the organisation. He later introduced Mr. Waleed Yazdani, Rewards Officer & LUMS Alumni, who joined Fatima Group as a Management Trainee Officer (MTO) 2 years back. Mr. Yazdani shared his experience at Fatima Group and his goal of becoming a CEO in the future.
A short video was played which highlighted the portfolio, achievements and perks of joining Fatima Group. There were testimonials from previous MTO’s in the video and it ended with an encouraging note from Ms. Sadia Irfan, Director Human Resource who said that they have “a powerhouse of brilliant talent”, and encouraged the audience to join them.
After the video, Mr. Malik gave a presentation on the E2L Programme. He talked about how majority of students who had joined as MTO’s and Graduate Trainee Engineers (GTE) later moved onto becoming permanent employees. He also explained the different stages of recruitment for MTO and GTE and what the trainees should expect after joining.
Mr. Malik also asked the audience about the perception they have about a local conglomerate in comparison to a Multinational Company (MNC). He emphasised on how Fatima Group is involved in CSR projects that have changed the lives of the local community for a better future such as the establishment of Mukhtar A. Sheikh hospital in Multan.
The presentation ended with an interactive QnA session followed by an online test.
