Dr. Hassan Jaleel, Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE), Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE), presented his research at INFORMS Annual Meeting, which was held in Phoenix, AZ, USA, 2018. INFORMS Annual Meeting is one of the most prestigious gathering in the area of Operations Research (OR) bringing together over 5,000 experts in OR domain from academia and industry. In his talk titled, “Path to Stochastic Stability,” Dr. Jaleel presented a novel framework for analysing different stochastic learning dynamics in games.
Dr. Jaleel received his MS and PhD degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) with specialisation in Systems and Control from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia. Before joining LUMS, he was an Assistant Professor at the Electrical Engineering Department, UET Lahore, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia. His research interests lies in the areas of complex networks, game theory, stochastic geometry, and online distributed optimisation. He is interested in designing intelligent learning mechanisms with global performance guarantees for self‐interested agents in large-scale complex networks. Typical application domains of his research include swarm robotics, sensor networks, smart grids, and irrigation networks. Dr. Jaleel is a Fulbright alum and is a member of IEEE and INFORMS.
