Friday, October 7, 2016

Career Services Office (CSO) in collaboration with Systems Limited organised a grooming session on "Learning the Art of Hitting the Goals of Life" at LUMS on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Mr. Wasif Mazhar, Assistant Vice President of Human Resource Department, started the session by giving a brief introduction of himself. He explained the importance of IMO (Intent, Methodology and Outcome) Model to students for building a passion for their careers. He also discussed how good intention and methodology can eventually lead to a desirable outcome.

Mr. Mazhar further explained the skill and will concept. He told the audience that only having high skills is not enough unless one has a high will as well to achieve a certain goal. If the graduates want to excel in their careers with a true desire, this can only be done when they come out of their comfort zone. He further elaborated the essence of networking with alumni and HR personnel from various fields and discussed the ‘learn, unlearn and relearn’ theory to be adopted by the graduates once they begin their careers.

The session ended with an interactive question & answer session with the students.
