Certificate Programme for Women Entrepreneurs in collaboration with the American University and sponsored by the U.S. Department of State started in November 2016. It successfully commenced its third module on January 13, 2017. The programme is tailored for women entrepreneurs to strengthen their role as entrepreneurial thinkers and leaders.

This 12-day transformational learning experience is developed specifically for building capacity in areas of marketing, operations, accounting and finance to support women entrepreneurs in scaling up their business ventures.

The third module covered “Entrepreneurship and Accounting” taught by Asad A. Alam and “Financial Literacy and Strategy” by Misbah Tanveer. The focus of the discussions was opportunity recognition: turning problems into business ventures and how to build and market brands. Discussions on pricing strategies, supply and demand and profit and revenue maximization also took place. The programme received great appreciation and attention and was well acknowledged by the participants.

"An interesting and elaborate program giving us an in-depth detail of business studies which is extremely helpful to boost our business," said Shazia Aslam, CEO – The Webstore Pakistan.
