BASF Conducts Summer Internship Drive at LUMS

BASF conducted its Summer Internship Drive at Lahore University of Management Sciences. Ms. Himra Mursil (General Manager, Human Resource) started the session by giving a brief introduction of the Company. She gave an overview of how BASF’s products are being used in our daily lives. Moreover she explained how their chemicals are used in almost all the industries and how they are promoting economic success, social responsibility and environmental protection. She told the students that BASF started its operations in 1856. In 1965 it became global and has been present in Pakistan for more than 45 years. BASF offers innovative solutions for key local business sectors. Their product categories include chemicals, plastics, performance products, crop protection products and oil and gas. With innovation being its core competence, BASF creates chemistry for a sustainable future.

Mr. Taha Saeed (Automotive business Lead) then took the stage and explained how BASF is managing its production sites and operations. Ms. Barrira Khawaja in Human Resources Department who is also leading BASF Summer Internship programme, further discussed that diversity and innovation is very important. The Company aspires to connect with people across the world, engage with diversified cultures, strives to be caring and encourages high performance and learning.

The session concluded with a Question & Answer session that was followed by the written test.
