LUMS hosted a corporate engagement dinner in collaboration with NBP Fullerton Asset Management Company on February 27, 2017. The event was held in Karachi, at the scenic premises of the DHA Golf and Country Club’s Convention Centre.
CEOs from top tier corporations and renowned philanthropists based in Karachi, attended the dinner. Master of the Ceremony, Mr. Adeel Hashmi, welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance industry and academic linkages. Suleman Dawood School of Business faculty member, Dr. Jamshed Khan, shared his 33 years journey with LUMS.
Prof. Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi, Vice Chancellor of LUMS, shared how LUMS graduates are making their mark in various fields, at top places around the world. He also appreciated the generous contributions from various Pakistani organisations who have supported LUMS.
Abdul Razak Dawood, Rector LUMS, Dr. Amjad Waheed CEO NBP Fullerton Management Company, and Dr. Noman-ul-Haq stressed on the importance of quality education and applauded LUMS’ role in providing not only quality education but also for providing equal opportunity to gifted students, irrespective of their financial background.

A soul-stirring speech was delivered by Mr. Bilal Rana, a LUMS graduate and an outstanding National Outreach Programme (NOP) scholar. He shared how he got admission to LUMS through its unique scholarship initiative, the National Outreach Programme and how this opportunity changed the course of his life.
