The LUMS Career Services Office (CSO) organised the annual Karachi Networking session on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi. Some 30 Karachi based organisations avidly participated in the session – these included Unilever, L’Oréal, ICI, Standard Chartered Bank, Philip Morris, Muller & Phipps, Pakistan State Oil, National Foods and GSK, to name a few.
The session began with an introduction of the CSO team, followed by a briefing on the facilitation provided to both LUMS graduates and their prospective employers. A corporate video was also played and recruiters were also briefed about the key activities of CSO taken to develop professional skills of students and match the skill set of LUMS graduates with the needs and requirements of the potential employers. The accomplishments of LUMS students as well as the various LUMS societies were shared with participants.
The presentation concluded with a Q&A session that was very interactive, and where enriching feedback about LUMS graduates currently employed by the companies was also shared.
