Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Qureshi

Dr.M.Iqbal Qureshi. Received his PhD from University of Salford, UK in 1992 and is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Before joining LUMS he served at King Saud University Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he remained involved in teaching as well as on several research projects awarded through nationwide competitions.  He designed and put in operation four High-Voltage Laboratories dealing with various aspects of HV related testing and research. One of these laboratories is internationally recognized for testing of different types of HV equipment. He has published more than 160 research papers in international journals and several technical reports. He has co-authored two books on the subject of Electrical Insulation. His current research interests include condition monitoring of   sub-station equipment; impact of atmospheric severity on the HV power networks; and also working on sustainable, renewable and environmental-friendly insulation systems for high voltage applications. He is Fellow of Institute of Engineers, Pakistan.
