Mr. Daud Ahmed Dard

Daud Ahmed Dard is a graduate of the London School of Economics (UK) with a B.Sc. (Honors) in Economics and a graduate of the New York University (NYU) in USA from where he did his Master’s degree. At NYU, he specialized in Economics & Finance and took advanced doctoral level coursework in Finance. He has taught at NYU and LUMS and has also conducted training sessions for trainee Assistant Commissioners, District Management Group (DMG). While at NYU, he assisted in curriculum re-design as well as in strategic planning process at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

He has diverse work experience in the corporate / financial sectors as chief economist (at many financial institutions), head of investment research and as a corporate strategist. He has currently taken time out to focus exclusively on teaching and research. During his current stint at LUMS, he has designed and taught cutting-edge courses in Financial Crises and in the rapidly evolving field of Economics of Organizations. His ongoing research is in global financial crises.
