The Department of Electrical Engineering, SBASSE, LUMS, Lahore is hosting a National ICT R&D Fund workshop on “Communication Science & Systems” from 15-19 August, 2016. This workshop is the 7th in the series of "Teaching the Teachers Workshops," conducted by Prof.Asad Ali Abidi, Distinguished Chancellor's Professor at the Electrical Engineering Department, University of California, Los Angeles. Prof.Abidi was the founding Dean of SBASSE, LUMS and is one of the most eminent professors of Pakistani origin in the world.
The aim of the workshop is to teach communication science & systems to faculty members and practitioners in a rich, multi-disciplinary fashion that emphasizes design-oriented theory beyond the conventional textbooks. The workshop would also enrich the teaching and practice of several fundamental electrical engineering concepts. It is an excellent opportunity to learn from a truly inspirational instructor who has deep knowledge of the field and is renowned for the development of many of the radio circuits and architectures that enable today’s mobile devices.

Registration Procedure:

Registration and CV submission deadline is 22nd July 2016.
Due to limited workshop space and to ensure quality, candidates will be selected based on their experience and interest in the field. The notified candidates will be required to pay the workshop registration fee (2000 Rs. for university teachers and 5000 Rs. for industry professionals).
