Dr Pippa Virdee is a historian specializing in Modern South Asia. Her area of academic interest is in British colonial history, the history of the Punjab, the construction of identity in colonial and post-colonial India and Pakistan. She has written extensively on the Partition of Punjab, refugees and women and oral histories.
