About the Speaker
Mr. Shakeel Mapara is a visiting faculty member at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi and teaches, Organisational Behaviour and Leadership as well as Human Resource courses.
For 10 years, Mr. Shakeel Mapara has been working as the Director Human Resources, Training and OD at Sanofi-Aventis, a French pharmaceutical company that also operates in Pakistan. He has worked on cultural transformation for professional development by partnering with businesses through talent management and leadership and management programmes. Prior to this, he worked at American Express as the Head of Human Resources.
Mr. Mapara is passionate about engaging people to develop their internal and external brand image. His career started at the Engro Corporation, where he performed well in strategic positions namely in human resources and sales and marketing.
Apart from his job, Mr. Mapara has been developing and conducting leadership and management training sessions for all levels at American Express and Sanofi-Aventis. It is his belief that if leadership is strengthened, a business can achieve a higher level of profitability.
