
Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), is organizing a one-day Doctoral Colloquium for PhD students. LUMS is a world class academic institution with a proud history of achievements, and ambitious plans for the future. Since its inception in 1985, LUMS has strived to achieve the aim of imparting world class education while encouraging research and intellectual growth in the country. The Suleman Dawood School of Business prides itself in producing some of the best business graduates in Pakistan. In 2006, PhD in Management was added to the list of degree programs to cater to the growing need of experts in management, operations, and finance. SDSB Doctoral Colloquium will provide the opportunity to doctoral students to receive feedback, on their research, from peers, senior researchers and academics. Students will also get a chance to network with doctoral students and faculty from other universities. The colloquium is open for papers and posters in the following areas:
1. Organizational Behavior, HRM and Strategy
2. Operations Management
3. Finance

Who May Participate
Doctoral students are invited to submit their work-in-progress dissertation or full papers. In case of multiple authors of the submitted work, the primary author must be a doctoral student.
Submission Information
Participants are required to submit an extended abstract of 3000 words (including references) explaining in detail the purpose of research, research design and methodology, findings/results, originality/contributions to the body of knowledge, and theoretical or practical implications. Please submit your paper at sdsbdc@lums.edu.pk mentioning the area of your research as Organizational Behavior, Strategy, Finance or Operations (Management).

The colloquium will be held at Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. Lahore is the second largest city of Pakistan and capital of Punjab province. The city of Lahore is famous for its cultural heritage, historical sites and food. Lahore has an evocative mix of historical and culturally rich attractions. Some of the key attractions of Lahore are: Lahore Fort, Faqir Khana Museum, Badshahi Mosque, Anglican Cathedral Church of the Resurrection, Sikh Gurdwara, Jehangir tomb, Shrine of Data Ganj Baksh and Shalimar Gardens.
