Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is organising a Workshop on, 'Big Data and Cloud Computing (BigC 2018).' The objective of this workshop is to provide a platform to researchers, students, and practitioners to discuss the cutting edge research and state-of-the-art industry solutions in the Big Data and cloud computing area.
The workshop will include invited talks from experts in academia, industry, and government. It will also include panel discussions on how Big Data and Cloud Computing technologies can be used to solve problems of national importance as well as meeting the sustainable development goals. In addition, hands-on tutorial will be conducted to familiarise students and participants with the current research and its applications in Big Data and cloud/edge computing. The workshop is intended for students, researchers, and practitioners focusing on Big Data, IoTs, and cloud computing. Relevant topics include:

This workshop is hosted by Cloud Computing Research Lab in collaboration with National Center in Big Data and Cloud Computing (NCBC) LUMS and sponsored through an HEC funded project under the Pakistan –US Science and Technology Cooperation Program.
