Abstract
Despite advances in therapeutic interventions and supportive care, the morbidity and mortality associated with age-old diseases remained significant while emerging infections presents a major threat to human and animal health. This presentation provides an overview of our on-going research with a global and local perspective.
Biography
Dr. Ruqaiyyah Siddiqui received her BSc, MSc and PhD at the University of London. After several years of research at Nottingham, Aga Khan and Sunway University, she was appointed as Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, Sunway University. Her research has been published in over 100 peer-reviewed publications, and several books, chapters, graduate students, together with significant grant income. Based on high research productivity, she received several awards in the UK and Pakistan.
