Abstract
Pathogenic variants of the Cell Division-Cycle-14A gene (CDC14A), encoding dual function phosphatase, cause deafness and male infertility syndrome. Using CRISPR/Cas9 technology, we engineered CDC14A phosphatase-dead mutant mouse and zebrafish and investigated mechanisms of CDC14A action in the auditory and reproductive systems by computational, biochemical and cell biology in vivo functional studies.
