The Department of Sports, Wellness, and Recreation is organising the LUMS WOMEN’S LEAGUE, in collaboration with SLUMS (Sports at LUMS).

This event is an inter-varsity tournament and will attract teams from universities all over Pakistan including AKU, NUST, FAST, LSE etc. The event includes as many as nine different sports.
The aim of this event is women empowerment and also to encourage women to take part in sports, which is not something that is encouraged in our society. Students from underprivileged areas of Lahore are also invited to the event and separate matches have been arranged for them so that they can learn from this experience. Personal grooming sessions hosted by LUMS faculty members have also been planned for these students. Through this event, SWR and SLUMS are trying do their part for promoting women empowerment.
