Halqa-e-Danish present weekly Iqbal Circle

Friday, December 30, 2016 - 11:30am to 1:00pm

Halqa-e-Danish presents Iqbal Circle, a weekly study circle for people who would like to read Allama Iqbal’s poetry together. The structure of the circle is participatory in nature, and all attendees are encouraged to read and engage with Iqbal’s work. The selected piece is circulated in advance and then read and discussed in the circle by all attendees. It is not structured as a class, and not lecture based, rather it is a shared ownership of the attendees and each attendee volunteers to lead a reading session. Occasionally, we invite guest scholars to the circle.

This semester we will be reading selections from Bal-i-Jibril and all attendees are encouraged to bring their favourite piece of poetry to add to our planning list for this semester.

No prior exposure to Iqbal’s poetry is required and all Iqbal lovers are invited!

Time: Fridays 11:30 AM – 1 PM
