Join us for a film screening of Ajoka Theatre’s Dara and conversation with writer Shahid Nadeem, Anwar Akhtar production consultant to Ajoka and National Theatre, Dr. Taimur Rahman (LUMS) and Laal band.
Dara, written for Ajoka Theatre by Shahid Nadeem, is the portrayal of the 17th century Mughal royals, addressing issues of freedom, history and religious practice that still persist within South Asia. It was adapted by writer Tanya Ronder and directed by Nadia Fall of Britain’s esteemed National Theatre, where the play was staged to great acclaim.
