Dear All,

Title: Design and Implementation of Computing Curriculum for Middle schools in Qatar.

Abstract:

The need for computing education in K-12 is being realized all over the world. National curriculum in several countries have created standards to meet this growing need. In most of these instances, the actual implementation of the curriculum, including the technical content is left to individual schools or teachers. In this talk, I present our work in implementing computing curriculum for public and private middle schools in Qatar. I will share our experience in creating the content for this curriculum that was developed in cooperation with school teachers, education professionals, and Ministry of education. I will also talk about our plans for extending this curriculum over all three years of middle school.
