Abstract
With the worsening trends of drug resistance, there is a need for newer and more powerful antimicrobial agents. Here, we describe (i) novel sources of potential antimicrobials and (ii) the use of nanotechnology to successfully develop new formulations of effective drugs conjugated with nanoparticles that hold promise for future application.
Biography
Dr. Naveed Ahmed Khan is a distinguished professor with experience of working in leading institutions in North America, Europe, and Asia including Tufts University, Johns Hopkins University, University of London, University of Nottingham, Aga Khan University, and Sunway University, Malaysia. With research grants of over USD 2 million, he has produced over 190 peer-reviewed publications, 7 books and 5 chapters, and guided over 39 graduate students to completion. In recognition of his research efforts, he has received several awards from the UK, USA, Pakistan and Malaysia.
