Abstract

Drought stress is a serious agricultural problem. Understanding the molecular basis of drought stress and development of drought stress tolerant plants has always been a major objective for plant scientists. Besides the development of GM crops, cheap and environment friendly chemicals could also regulating the plant response to drought stress and could mitigate the adverse effects of water scarcity.
