Biology Seminar into Helicobacter Pylori Mediated Virulence and Pathogenesis

Abstract:

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) associated with diverse gastric disorders has been targeted in this study and a qualitative logic-based model is designed highlighting the situation-dependent dynamic behaviours of the host and pathogenic proteins before and after infection. Moreover, reverse vaccinology approach has been successfully employed to predict the potential vaccine candidates against H. pylori and broad-spectrum poly-epitope based peptide vaccines are designed.

Biography:

Dr. Anam Naz recently completed her PhD from Atta-ur-Rehman School of Applied Biosciences (ASAB), National University of Science and Technology (NUST). Her research work was focused on employing various integrative biology approaches to get insights into Helicobacter pylori mediated virulence and pathogenesis. Dr. Naz’s research interest lies in the area of computational biology, genomics and bioinformatics. She has collaborated in various research projects and published 19 research articles in well-reputed international journals. Currently, Dr. Naz is working on a book and a research project in collaboration with Dr. Amjad Ali at NUST.
