There is no participation/registration fee for these programmes. However, registration and attendance is mandatory for access to venue and obtaining a certificate of participation.


About the Workshop

The recently established NCRA National Agricultural Robotics Lab in collaboration with the Centre for Water Informatics & Technology (WIT), Department of Electrical Engineering, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan is organising the 4th annual workshop on Precision Agriculture and Forestry (WPAF), which comprises short tutorials and mini-courses on topics related to machine learning and intelligent vehicles have been organized on adjacent dates of these main events. 

These workshops will be a great opportunity for students, academics and professionals to get engaged with top national and international experts in robotics and related studies. The workshop will lay emphasis on the exploitation of ICT tools, especially automation and sensing technologies for advancements in agricultural productivity, water efficiency and environmental monitoring. Moreover, there will be opportunities to learn about topics related to intelligent transportation, Industry 4.0, mobile robotics, assistive robotics, motion planning and system architectures. The event has been sponsored by competitive international grants won from global IEEE Control Systems Society Outreach Fund and German Academic Exchange (DAAD). Moreoever, it is technically supported by National Centre for Robotics & Automation (NCRA), IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (Pakistan Chapter) and Pakistan Automatic Control Research Society (ACRS). 

Further, we request you to advertise the event within your organisation specially among faculty members, young researchers and graduate students.  The workshop is critical for building capacity in this sector and will help establish a fruitful co-operation between the academic community, relevant government agencies and industry.
